This is because if there is no specified default width, it will be set to about 100px. If you want a specific width for your column, start width for you column, then you can set it in the element definition.

It is explicitly set in the definition. And ignored by the UI. (within hidden row)

Confirm this as fixed.

The bug with disappearing "preview" column is still there.

ok, disappearing preview that has to do with saving views. I haven't looked at that one yet.

On the saved view in the widget_config table, is the "preview" element missing?

Preview widget being removed from XML definition of table, after saving.

There is also bug: when we save something in a row layout starts to "falling apart"

I think it's nothing to do width Preview column. Its just removing the first column in table
